The Kettering Youth Football and Cheer Organization is built on the strength of two great organizations, the Kettering Youth Firebirds and the Kettering Youth Wildcats. Those two organizations were in existence to serve the youth of Kettering for a combined 100 years. They merged in 2007 to form a greater organization in order to better serve the youth of Kettering.
KYFCO is open to all children (Grades K-6) who live in the Kettering Public School District. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The purpose of our program is to teach and develop the fundamentals of football and cheerleading at increasing levels of competition; to allow every child a chance to play or perform; and to provide a memorable, meaningful, and rewarding experience for all participants. The KYFCO is a member of the Western Ohio Jr. Football Conference (WOJFC) and plays other area teams in the conference.
The KYFCO is a certified non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers. Funding for the KYFCO is obtained from registration fees, donations and fundraisers. All coaches are certified by The National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) and must pass a background check.
